Caught in Crystal

I was just having a play with the 'caught in crystal' technique. Not sure I have it quite right yet, but I liked the effect. Decided to mount them onto mountboard and stick a magnetic strip on the back.

Having a Baby Card

I made this card for my Case Admin officer who is off at the end of next week to have her first baby.
As loads of my colleagues wanted to sign her card and make a contibution to the baby shower, I decided to make it into a concetine tag card, this way there was plenty of room for everyone to wish her well.
I used a Moorhead decoupage image on the front with a CI stamp. For the inside I ripped layers of patterned paper to make the pockets for the tags.

Torso swap

These are my entries for the LOTSTODO forum torso swap. They have a bit of a seasonal flair. A summer flower fiesta, an autumn feast of golden hues and a saucy winter warmer! (I messed up the spring one, so thats been filed in the bin!)

Christmas cards

These are a few of the christmas cards I have been making.
The top one is a bow window with a family scene behind. i used acetate to give the apperance of glass.
For the middle one, I used papernations christmas pet decoupage.
The bottom one is decoupaged using the Hummel christmas collection.

Scraping off the page and up the wall!

This is my latest project. I have so many photos in frames on the wall and so many scrapbook pages. I liked the idea of combining scrapbook pages with frames for hanging. I did these two yesterday, one for me and one for my daughter kristy. Just gotta get ian to hang mine for me now.......................

Altered storage case

This little case got a bit damaged in the post, so to disguise the dents i covered it with Alcohol inks. I used the same colour combination to decorate the little storages jars as well. All i need to do now is put my glitter into them!!

Lotstodo CI swap the 3rd design

This is the third design for the CI swap. For this one I have used 2 CI stamps, the first image i stamped onto the backing paper and the second image was stamped on to contasting paper. I used interference pearls to highlight the flowers and leaves. I them cut an opening into the stamped image and made a kind of doorway, which I then glued over the first image.

Altered Work Folder

This was rather a tatty and dull black folder which I keep records in at work. It has to travel with me to various places and was looking rather glum and tatty, so I have started to give it a bit of a face lift.

Tag book from scraps

These are 6 of the tags I made from pieces of scrap card I had left from another project. I made the cover from a scap of left over chipboard.
I used a mix of distress inks, crackle paint (first time out!) and bits and bobs i had lying around.
Not bad for scraps!
I have bound the tags together and it now belongs to Andrea, Happy birthdayxxxx

LOTSTODO Fat page book

At last!!! I have done some crafting! these are the designs for the lotstodo forum fat page book swap.
The theme was open, but had to have a stamped image on them. I used my new Laura Ashley papers for the backgrounds which I distressed using various matching inks.
On the first one I used one of the LA clear stamps for the centre, the sencond one I use a LDV stamp. For the third page I used LA tapestry stamps to give a shadowy effect in the corners and then finished with one of my favorite sentimant stamps.
Phew! and i have completed all 20 this morning, must be on a roll!

2" x 2" swap - spring colours

Well i finally found some inspiration and made some 2" squares for the LOTSTODO swap.
I sprayed the mount board with glimmer mists then stamped them with different inks. On some I embossed them with sparkle powder, to give the impression of early morning dew.

Guess what?

This is the first item that I have made and blogged for a while (Thank you sam for pointing that out to me)

It's not fantastic, but it's just an experiment for something more fantastic to come.

First person to guess correctly as to what it actually is and what it is used for can have it, with my blessing!

Inspiration Cards

These are two inspiration cards , one for Hilda (top) and the other for Ang.
They are on 4" x 6" card. For Hilda's I used strips of ripped co-ordinating papers in nutral colours, including a piece of Leo DV background paper. The edges of each were inked to aged them. Using a very muted colour ink I stamped an image of Leo's Cosmos on to a piece of matching paper and mounted on white handmade paper, tied taffetta around it and mounted onto the card. To finish I used individual letter stamps to spell out COSMOS.
For Ang's I started with a piece of glossy card and dabbed alcohol inks onto it. Using the same colour inks I put a striped effect onto another piece of card and then stamped onto it twice, using stazon ink. One image I mounted onto white card and the other image I cut away both sides, leaving just the centre piece. I folded the cut image down the centre and placed, using silicon over the other image to give a raised effect with out it being 3D'd. I added tiny tags to the bottom of the card using brass brads that I coloured with permanent ink. To finish I stamped the whole image again onto shrink plastic, cut out the individual sections and heated until they shrank, I then attached them with a few jump rings to the corner.
