Secret card

This is a 'secret card' that i made. The overall card is a slim line size.

When first opened it appears to be a normal popout card, but, the center also opens to reveal another layer.

Multi layer card

Just to prove that Beccy and I did actually make something when we were together, this is one of the cards we made.

The first image is of the cover, the 2nd image is the inside and finally the card fully opened.

Blog Challenge

This is my item, an altered matchbox for the Lots to Do blog challenge. The theme was key's. I made the box using a template downloaded from the internet.

I covered the box with TH paper and distressed using ink and crackle paint, while the crackle paint was still wet i stamped into it using stazon. I added a key which I also distressed with crackle paint and inks.

On the inside bit, I again used TH papers and attached a distressed key with a brad and jump ring to make a pull thingy.

Altered bits

I decided that my kitchen widow needed a bit of an uplift, so thought I would jazz up a few bits that generally just sit there looking dull and boring.

The first piece I did was the photo frame, it started out as being a dull silver colour, the soap dispenser was next, that was originally white ceramic. Then came the vase! all were done with alcohol inks, same colour combination and same technique, but they all look a bit different! but look stunning sat side by side on the window sill! (just need to get the curtains back up now!)

Reverse stamping in soot

For this piece I placed a few peel offs onto the card before sooting. i then set the soot with hair spray before removing the peel offs.

I then sponged on some red ink into the image just to see what effect it would have, not bad but the photo is pants!

In The News

This is my effort for the Lots to do weekly challenge. I have used copper pearlescent card for the base with a piece of textured handmade paper matted on top.

I stamped 2 butterfly images onto news paper and mounted them onto the ATC with Silicone to give them a lift, I also added wire for the antena's (on acount of having accidently cut the original ones off!...oops!)

I thought I would give it another go with my favourite stamp, sorry but the photo does not do it justice.

Stamping in soot

I thought I might give the stamping in soot technique a go, after seeing the sample on Hilda's blog. The technique was so easy to do, and the results quite stunning! Not the best of results, but I was pleased with it, just need a bit more practice.

I did give Mum a bit of a scare though! she thought I was about to set the house on fire!

Charity Auction

This is one of the pieces that I have made for the Lots To Do charity Auction.

This is a photo brag book, handbag sized so easy to take with you to show off your piccies!

When opened up it has two conertina pull outs ready for you to put your photos on, it will take up to 14 photos.

Charity Auction

This is one of the items that I have made for the Lots To Do charity auction.

It is a 5 piece wall hanging for photo's (not included) I got the idea from Lesleyanne who made one for me last year and to which I have added a series of photo's of my grandaughter Tyra.

Stamping with Candles

I'm in christmas mode at the moment as you can see!

I followed the 'Stamping with Candles' technique for this one. This is my second efford, the first one melted! oop's!

Caught in Crystal

I was just having a play with the 'caught in crystal' technique. Not sure I have it quite right yet, but I liked the effect. Decided to mount them onto mountboard and stick a magnetic strip on the back.

Having a Baby Card

I made this card for my Case Admin officer who is off at the end of next week to have her first baby.

As loads of my colleagues wanted to sign her card and make a contibution to the baby shower, I decided to make it into a concetine tag card, this way there was plenty of room for everyone to wish her well.

I used a Moorhead decoupage image on the front with a CI stamp. For the inside I ripped layers of patterned paper to make the pockets for the tags.

Torso swap

These are my entries for the LOTSTODO forum torso swap. They have a bit of a seasonal flair. A summer flower fiesta, an autumn feast of golden hues and a saucy winter warmer! (I messed up the spring one, so thats been filed in the bin!)

Christmas cards

These are a few of the christmas cards I have been making.

The top one is a bow window with a family scene behind. i used acetate to give the apperance of glass.

For the middle one, I used papernations christmas pet decoupage.

The bottom one is decoupaged using the Hummel christmas collection.

My First Moo's

These are the first moo's for swaping that i have made. the theme is 'altered/distressed' and are for a swap i am hosting on Lotstodo forum.

My Street of houses

Well this is a first! I've never built a street of houses before. This is my 8 for a swap on lotstodo forum, Hope they are OK, as not quite sure what I was doing. :-0

I started by cutting mount board into 2.5" strips and then into pieces between 3" and 6" in lenght. I used a varieyt of mediums and embelishments to decorate, I think I might like to live at no.1 or no.7
