Organiser
Well this is my attempt at getting organised. I made these little storage drawers to keep my cut n dry in. I made the small one first, but then realised that it was too small, so I then used the same design to make a bigger one. Don't look to close! there are a couple of drawers that don't quite fit!
Just need to add a lable onto the front of the drawers to denote the colour used. Hopefully this will keep the mountain of bits where I can find them.

Distressed swap
The first item is a plaque. I used distress inks to give some colour to the bottom layer and then stamped swirls around the edges. To get the background effect for the top layer I used Tim's technique of swiping distress ink over a craft sheet and then misting with water. I then just placed the card onto the wet ink and used a heat buddy to dry. when dry I splodged some crackle paint on the a small area and while still wet stamped into it. I added a distressed embossed embelishment in the corner.
The tags are made from using the background techniques from Tim's new book. They are a mix of dabber paint resist method and perfect pearl effects. I have not added any embellishments to them.
The last item is actually a small box. The backgrounds were made from using distress inks and then covering with gold perfect pearls, this gave it a glimmery shimmery effect. (the box is empty!)

altered clock
I have had this clock on the kitchen wall for years and it was begining to look a bit tired.
Originally it was a round clock with a chrome finish.
With a couple of 12 x12 pieces of card, the patience of a saint to cut the centres out, some distress inks and a dab or 2 of gold perfect pearls, it has been transformed.
I added the stamped image in the corner to remind me when I am chasing my tail in the mornings getting ready for work, that there is hope, even if it is only the pay cheque at the end of the month.

My Kitchen Project
These are the first 6 fat pages that I have made to boarder my kitchen (half way there with the wall painting!) they look fab against the terracotta piant.
It's going to be a long job to make enough to go around my Kitchen (about 40 at least) so if any one wants to make a few for me, I would be delighted :-)

It's Childish, Create Something
Had Beccy aka lil sis, come and stay with me for a week. Needed her help for inspiration as mine seemed to have dried up, along with the snow! My CA at work gave birth to her first child on 15th feb, so thought it a nice idea to make her a little something. I pinched the papers and the stamps from lil sis and she pinched the template for the booties from someome else!
She also made me enter some challenges!!!!!!!!!!! I've never done this before so please be gentle with me.

Zentangle experiment
Loved the idea when I first saw a sample of this technique, so thought I would have a go.
I used a mini (empty :( ) chocolate box made from clear plastic and doodled patterns on the lid with an acetate pen.
I then randomly dripped alcohol ink into the inside to cover.
I also dripped ink in to the base of the box.
Not too good a photo, the effects are far better seen in real day light.
To complete, I mapped out an image onto white card stock and doodled using just an ordinary black biro. I then used water colour pencils and a koi brush to shade in some colours.
I trimmed the image and then cut into several random pieces, making a Zentangle puzzle.
I won't tell you what the image is, but it is for Hilda (Hilmof) from LOTS TO DO forum to replace the Xmas pressie that RM failed to deliver.
Promise Hilda, it's dead easy to put together!

I will put this scrapbook page in a frame and hang it on a wall somewhere?? running out of wall space downstairs, might have to start putting them on the bedroom walls

Altered Book
Inside back cover
Inside front cover
Back cover
Well I have finally blogged something! and about time too!
This is my fisrt attempt at doing an altered book (second if you count the one that ended up in the bin)
It looks aweful in the photos (and not much better in the flesh!) and nothing like I originally planned, but isn't that the way sometimes? Anyway, whats inside is a mystery..............if you want a chance of knowing, log onto the LOTS TO DO forum.

Wedding Cards
I was commissioned to make a wedding card, and was given free reign over colour and design.
I planned the design, and made the one above in shades of blue. I liked the results and decided to do another in a different colour scheme.
This is the second one, in a maroon colour scheme, I didn't like the effects as much as the first one. So tried again with another colour.
This is my favourite, Black and gold, not very weddingy, but heyho! at least the customer has a choice. Which one do you prefer??
